If you desire a flat stomach, you have to give your body a complete body work-out and not not just focus on your abs. Repeatedly working on crunches alone will not result in a flat stomach. To loose weight and build muscles at the same time, you have to practice dynamic exercises that are a combination of

1) Lunges and Squats
2) Push-ups
3) Leg raises
4) Crunches
You also have to give equal emphasis to what you eat and how much time you give yourself to rejuvenate and relax. Thus you also have to practice
5) Eating right and at the right time , i.e. breaking your meal down to at least 5 to 6 small meals
6) Pranayam and
7) Meditation

Each of these factors are important in helping you build your metabolism rate and develop lean muscles. At Akshar Power Yoga, our flows cover all the exercises that are listed from 1 to 4. Sun salutations, weight loss formula, all target the extra kilos on your body. It is the repetition of these cycles that enhance their effectiveness. Thus you will notice that in all our Akshar Power Yoga classes we make you practice the sets at least 3 to 4 times and turn the static asanas into dynamic flows.

Equal emphasis is given to breathing in and out of postures and relaxing at the end of the class. Students are also encouraged to practice breathing and meditation in their free time on daily basis. Our Yogic Diet chart is also designed to help you burn more fat and help you increase your energy level. We suggest you include fruits and a lot of green vegetables in your daily diet and remember to drink plenty of water through the day.
