We are pleased to share with you details on various vitamins that can be added to your diet. They are present in various vegetables, fruits and are also available in fortified food items. However, one must understand that overdosing on any vitamin can also lead to stomach pain, gastrointestinal problems, heart burns etc and cause irritation. Thus it is essential to consult your doctor before making any major changes in your diet.

Vitamin A is good for immunity, neutralizes bacteria and is also good for your eyes. It is usually found in green and orange colored foods such as carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach and also in milk.

Vitamin B6 is good for hemoglobin, energy, stabilizes blood sugar and can also relieve stomach pain. It is found in chickpeas and whole grains.

Vitamin B12 is essential if you suffer from weakness, depression and is vital for a healthy nervous-system. Milk, yoghurt and cheese are good sources. Opt for low-fat! These food items are also great for Calcium, which is also an important mineral much needed to strengthen bones, teeth, muscle function, hormone secretion etc.

Vitamin C can is an excellent source of antioxidant if taken in right proportion. It is found in many fruits and vegetables such as oranges, strawberries, spinach, broccoli, sprouts, red bell peppers etc.

Vitamin D is essential for immunity and strong bones is available in fortified cereals, milk, yoghurt, orange etc.

Vitamin E is another source of antioxidant to boost immunity. It can be found in tofu, avocados, almonds, spinach etc.

Including lentils, beans, soya bean, nuts etc in your diet will also help you keep a check in your protein intake, other essential minerals, omega-3 fatty acids, iron etc.
