Yoga has become a million dollar industry and there has been a significant growth in the number of practitioners world over. Likewise, there has been an increase in the demand for Yoga Teachers. Many people from the corporate world are willing to give up their 9 to 5 office jobs and switch over to a part-time or full-time career as a Yoga Teacher.

At Akshar Power Yoga, we have seen an increase in the number of women, Yoginis, who enroll for our teacher training program. Most of them had initially joined us for our regular classes with different health goals on their agenda, such as, weight loss, curing back pain, insomnia, headaches etc, symptoms of their stressful lifestyle. Juggling between their professional and personal life had taken a toll on their health.

But after a few months of regular practice, they begin to notice the changes in their health, attitude, emotions and it is this gradual increase in their positive outlook that urges them to take their practice to the next level. They feel the need to share these benefits with their family and friends. A career in teaching Yoga does not only help them in healing themselves, but also gives them the opportunity to service others and at the same time, earn their living!

A healthy lifestyle, a friendly and flexible work-environment, the joy of giving and sharing, the opportunity to constantly learn and progress, are a few of the many benefits of choosing Yoga as a career. If you wish to join the growing APY community of Yoginis, please get in touch.
