Awakening the Sun Channel That Elevates Breath, Strength & Inner Direction
Guided by Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar Ji | #IndiaBreatheAgain
In Himalayan yogic sciences, the breath carries intelligence, memory, and the movement of life.
On Day 2 of #IndiaBreatheAgain, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar Ji shares the profound practice of Surya Nadi Shodhan, a powerful method to awaken and expand the Sun channel (Surya Nadi / Pingala).
This channel governs clarity, strength, enthusiasm, discipline, metabolism, and the ability to direct one’s life with purpose.
When the Sun breath rises within a practitioner, the entire system shifts into vitality and momentum.
This is more than breathwork.
This is the awakening of the inner Sun, a principle celebrated by Himalayan masters across centuries.
THE SUN CHANNEL IN HIMALAYAN WISDOM
Surya Nadi, known as the Sun channel, carries the qualities of:
- * Agni — inner fire
- * Tejas — brilliance and sharpness
- * Utsāha — enthusiasm and forward movement
- * Dharana — steadiness and clear attention
- * Kriya Shakti — the power to act
This channel influences:
- * breath capacity
- * emotional strength
- * physical vigor
- * mental clarity
- * digestive fire
- * pranic circulation
- * decisiveness and execution
- * Wealth flow
When the Sun channel activates, a human being becomes radiant in thought and powerful in action.
THE CONDITION OF THE SUN CHANNEL SHAPES DESTINY
In Himalayan teachings, the Sun within the breath shapes the direction of one’s life.
A strong Surya Nadi creates a life filled with momentum, clarity, and achievement.
A weakened Sun channel leads to:
- * dullness
- * breath heaviness
- * low enthusiasm
- * unclear thinking
- * stagnancy in action
- * scattered prana
- * low heat and low vitality
This state is described as the fading of inner radiance.
When Surya Nadi awakens, radiance returns.
Himalyan Siddhaa Akshar Ji explains:
“Surya Nadi expands your inner fire. With each breath, you gain strength, clarity, and forward movement.”
HOW TO PRACTISE SURYA NADI SHODHAN
- Sit in stillness with the spine aligned.
- Close the left nostril.
- Inhale deeply through the right nostril, absorbing the Sun breath.
- Release the left nostril.
- Exhale through the left nostril, allowing prana to circulate.
- Continue this rhythm with a steady flow.
Duration:
7 minutes, morning and evening
This rhythm strengthens the right nostril, expands breath capacity, and activates the Sun channel within.
THE INNER EFFECT OF SURYA NADI ACTIVATION

Strength enters the breath, creating stability in mind and body.

THE SUN CHANNEL IN MODERN LIVING
In today’s world, people experience weakened breath due to:
- * polluted environments
- * stagnant indoor air
- * irregular routines
- * heavy stress
- * shallow breathing habits
Surya Nadi Shodhan restores the breath to its natural strength by awakening the Sun within the pranic pathways.
This is why it holds a central place in the #IndiaBreatheAgain movement.
A strong breath creates a strong nation.
