International Day of Yoga 2026: 21 Guinness World Records in a Single Day for Yoga for Healthy Aging

On 21st June 2026, Akshar Yoga Kendraa will bring together thousands of participants from across the world for a historic celebration of International Day of Yoga. Under the guidance of Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, the organization will undertake an official attempt to achieve 21 Guinness World Records™ in a single day, creating a landmark moment in the global Yoga movement.

Inspired by this year’s International Day of Yoga theme, Yoga for Healthy Aging, the initiative highlights Yoga as a powerful tool for cultivating physical vitality, mental clarity, emotional resilience, and conscious living throughout every stage of life.

Yoga for Healthy Aging

Healthy aging reflects a lifestyle that supports strength, mobility, focus, balance, and wellbeing over the years. Yoga offers practical tools that empower individuals to maintain these qualities through a combination of movement, breath awareness, meditation, and disciplined living.

The theme Yoga for Healthy Aging encourages people of all ages to embrace practices that enhance quality of life, support longevity, and promote holistic wellness. Through this initiative, Akshar Yoga Kendraa aims to inspire individuals, families, institutions, and communities to integrate Yoga into their daily lives and experience its transformative benefits.

A Historic Journey of Guinness World Records

Over the years, Akshar Yoga Kendraa has consistently demonstrated its commitment to taking Yoga to larger audiences across the world.

  • 2022 – 1 Guinness World Record
  • 2023 – 3 Guinness World Records
  • 2024 – 5 Guinness World Records
  • 2025 – 12 Guinness World Records
  • 2026 – 21 Guinness World Records in a Single Day

The 2026 initiative marks the organization’s most ambitious Guinness World Records attempt to date and reflects the growing global participation in Yoga and wellness-based practices.

21 Guinness World Records in a Single Day

The official attempts will include:

20 Guinness World Record Attempts in Yoga Asanas

Participants will perform a series of Yoga Asanas that showcase balance, flexibility, endurance, concentration, and discipline. These record attempts will be conducted onsite in Bengaluru under official Guinness World Records guidelines and verification procedures.

Global Tratak Meditation Guinness World Record Attempt

Participants from around the world will join an online Tratak Meditation initiative. Tratak, an ancient meditation practice from the Himalayan Yoga and Siddha Sciences tradition, develops focus, awareness, concentration, and mental steadiness.

Together, these twenty-one attempts celebrate the diversity and depth of Yogic practices while uniting participants across geographical boundaries through a common purpose.

The Vision of Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar

For Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, Yoga is a complete science for human development and conscious living.

Through decades of teaching, training, and global outreach, he has inspired millions of individuals to embrace Yoga as a pathway towards health, inner balance, and self-transformation.

As Siddhaa says:

“When the body is nurtured with discipline, the breath with awareness, and the mind with clarity, healthy aging becomes a natural outcome of conscious living.”

He further shares:

“Beyond nations, beyond cultures, beyond differences, Yoga speaks the universal language of peace, health, and self-realization.”

This vision forms the foundation of the International Day of Yoga 2026 initiative and continues to guide efforts to make Yoga accessible to individuals across age groups, professions, and communities.

A Global Celebration of Wellness

Participants from more than 80 countries are expected to join this historic initiative, with over 5,000 registered participants taking part through onsite and online platforms.
